While visiting Canada’s largest aquarium there are many things to see and do, this is one of those things you don’t want to miss. The Aquarium has many great things to see and learn about marine life.  Where is the Aquarium?  The Aquarium is located within Beautiful Stanley Park at 845 Avison Way ( East side of Stanley Park )  When is the Aquarium open?  The aquarium is open every day 9:30-5:00 pm. (Doors close at 4:30 PM) ( In the summer the hours are different ).

Tips for visiting the Vancouver Aquarium

The price to enter the aquarium:

  • Adults:  38.00 (plus tax)
  • Seniors:  30.00 (plus tax)
  • Youth (13-18) 30.00 (plus tax)
  • Child (4-12)  21.00 (plus tax)
  • 3+under are free

Some hotels in Vancouver offer coupons and discount rates for the Aquarium so check with your hotel or look in the local paper for discounts and deals.

The Aquarium offers visitors this opportunity with a program called Animal Encounters. Go behind the scenes with a professional Aquarium trainer and have one of the most unique experiences of a lifetime. Register for this tour by calling the Aquarium (Canada 604-659-3552 or US 1-800-931-1186).

BC’s only 4D Theater

Don’t miss something new at the aquarium, BC’s only 4D theatre where you can not only view an exciting film but really feel the excitement of the ocean and its life. There is no charge for the Theatre shows as they are included with your general admission. The movie runs approximately 20 min, throughout the day from 11:00am-4pm.

Aquarium Information

This facility is wheelchair accessible.

Strollers are available ( no charge just a deposit ).

For a couple of dollars you can rent a locker for small bags.

There is NO SMOKING anywhere on the aquarium’s property and that includes any outdoor locations within the aquarium. Ash trays will be provided outside the main entrance of the building.

Restaurants

Inside the Aquarium at the Upstream Cafe, they offer hot and cold meals and a kids menu. Visitors may bring their own food, there are a number of picnic sites within walking distance.

Public Transportation

If you are staying in a Downtown Vancouver hotel take the #19 bus ( this is the only bus that stops in Stanley Park ) which runs along West Pender Street, this will take you to Stanley Park and then it’s a 5 min walk to the Aquarium.

Parking

Pay parking on site and throughout Stanley Park.
