Vancouver has many exciting places to see and this is a great place to spend the day any time of the year. It is fun and educational with its many new and exciting shows. This iconic dome originally built for Expo ’86, and houses a number of interactive galleries as well as one of the world’s largest OMNIMAX theatres, a live performance stage, and a second theatre. OMNIMAX Theatre The OMNIMAX Theatre features one of the world’s largest dome screens at an incredible five storeys high and 27 metres in diameter. The theatre also boasts a sensational wrap-around digital sound system to put you right into the middle of the action. The OMNIMAX Theatre shows films from 11am-5pm every day. Bring your family to the Centre Stage to see dazzling demonstrations that explore scientific principles and phenomena happening on a stage with a great backdrop and a plasma screen TV! Information
Location - 1455 Quebec Street, Vancouver. Close to the Main Street /S.W. Skytrain station.
Price of Admission - Prices vary depending on the events and shows. Checkout the official website for current pricing.
Hours - Open daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
Parking - Pay parking is very close just outside the building, and across the street.
Restaurants - There is a Triple O’s by White Spot or you can bring your own food and there is lunch seating areas available. There is also a McDonalds just across the street.
Miscellaneous Information - This facility is wheelchair accessible. There are No storage lockers, but coat racks are available.
